Signe Førde Bødtker is a multi-artist and has an art education from Einar Granum Art School as well as a bachelor's degree in classical song from the the University of Agder.
She has exhibited at the opening of the new National Museum of Art in Norway. Been representative by Oslo Nowhere, Asker art association, Dalalåven Atelier, BlackBoxGallery, Galleri2B and Galleri Havstad.
She has also had a traveling solo exhibition about dyslexia, which was sent to various libraries in Norway. In connection with this, she also gave lectures and performed as a singer. S She paints figuratively primarily with oil paint, and is inspired by the Renaissance in art as well as in life.
Her art often portrays the challenge of dyslexia, through paintings based on the artist's own dreams. Her art is an iconography of its own, with green fish for dyslexia, owls representing school, and the black dog as a symbol of depression.
Text plays an important role in her art and features self-composed poems. Sometimes written backwards, mirrored or upside down, or in uncorrected English to give the reader a sense of dyslexia.
